Jakob C. Metz represents owners, developers, lenders, landlords, tenants, operators, and others on matters related to real estate transactions and management. Jake’s practice encompasses commercial real estate transactions as well as day-to-day operational and strategic matters for real estate and business clients as outside general counsel.

Also an experienced litigator, Jake regularly represents clients in real estate disputes as well as general commercial and business litigation matters.

Drawing on his combined litigation and transactional experience, Jake provides clients with a sophisticated, risk-informed perspective designed to protect and advance their business interests.

Jake graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law where he served as an editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review and as Vice President of the Real Estate Law Association. While in law school, Jake worked full-time as a law clerk at one of the oldest and largest full-service law firms in the State of Maryland.

Prior to attending law school, Jake earned his B.A. at the University of Maryland, College Park where he was captain of the squash team.
