Bankruptcy/Creditor's Rights Group
The Bankruptcy/Creditor's Rights Group represents banks, finance companies and other business clients in connection with loan workouts, bankruptcies and commercial collection matters. We have one of the largest bankruptcy and creditor's rights practices in the Mid-Atlantic region with expertise in a full range of bankruptcy and creditors rights matters such as restructuring and redocumenting troubled commercial loans, recovering and liquidating collateral and handling all aspects of complex bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, including fraudulent conveyance and preference litigation.
Our broad transactional expertise enables us to handle "soft" loan workouts involving all types of commercial credit facilities. If a client wishes to exit an existing credit, our many contacts in the lending industry enable us to identify other lenders who might be interested in taking over the credit.
For more troubled credits, our substantial litigation experience enables us to aggressively pursue recovery in state, federal and bankruptcy courts. We have conducted thousands of foreclosure sales and liquidations of business property and equipment. Our creditor's rights attorneys have been involved in many nationally significant bankruptcy cases, including most of the larger bankruptcies in the Mid-Atlantic region.
